Christian has worked front-of-house for some of the most successful restaurants in the area, and when the opportunity arose to take on the lease for what was the popular ‘Miss Peapods’ café on Jubilee Wharf, the whole family jumped at the chance.
As a result, Muddy Beach has been born out of a passion for excellent food, quaffable wines and the sort of customer service that makes you feel part of the family!
We run Muddy Beach as a family, and we want you to feel part of that family from the minute you walk through the door. It’s all about sharing great food, relaxing over a glass of wine or sipping a warming mug of our specialty coffee. Bring a group of friends or just bring the Sunday paper – it’s all about relaxing in a welcoming environment and enjoying those gorgeous river views!
With beautiful panoramic windows overlooking the river, Muddy Beach is the perfect location to wind down and share a meal with friends and family.
We welcome everyone at Muddy Beach, including dogs. Our own Muddy Beach dog Eby will be around to help out and entertain our customers from time to time, and we have a special dog area where dog walkers can go to hang out in the warm after a walk along the riverbank!
Favourite wine: Pinot Noir
Favourite dish on menu: Smoked salmon on rye bread (reminds him of Scotland)
Random fact: Matt loves Scotland, he has a Scottish accent but hasn't ever lived there OR visited. He puts on the accent to make everyone belive he's Scottish despite being born in Cornwall and never leaving the county.
